Fool That I Am
A jazz treatment of the standard torch song from the 40s, featuring female vocals. It provides a great opportunity to showcase the soulful side of a singer. On the initial statement of the melody, space is provided for the guitarist to add bluesy interjections. Between the head in and recapitulation, there is an 8-bar shout in the style of Billy Byers and Frank Foster.
